Zoo!
Here of some fun pictures from the zoo. Leland and I went with our new besties Ari, and Lenny. We had a lot of fun and even rode the train, although the train wasn't as spectacular as I remembered from childhood. It was still an awesome day.

Real Life Haunted Places.
Why is it that Tasha and Emma will believe the craziest things I tell them unless it's true? I tell them all manner of fish stories and they believe me. So this morning Tasha tells me how excited she is to get her book drive books, because she is getting one on real life haunted places. So I asked her "Oh you mean like my house?" Both her and Emma laughed in my face and told me that my house wasn't haunted! I told them it was but that they're nice ghosts. They still weren't buying it. Emma said "No, REAL haunted places like hotels." Apparently people's homes cannot be haunted, just hotels and the likes. Tell that to whoever opens and closes the bedroom, bathroom, and refrigerator doors! Or to Grandpa P. I don't think he's still around but he sure liked choking a certain someone in their sleep. I could go on and on really. However, for the girls sake, I decided to drop it so that they wouldn't be afraid to come over. As if to remind me when I got home, after my nap, I let the dogs out, then went through the bedroom to the bathroom and when I reached for the door it tried to open itself, unsuccessfully slamming against the jam. Apparently if the door is latched my ghosties can't open it. But hey, they tried to be a gentleman.

25 Random things about ROCKBAND!
1. I have little musical talent. Mostly I just Kenny-G it up. Nahnahnah nah naaaah nah nah
2. I could possibly die if I missed an episode of House M.D. I love Hugh Laurie and have just learned I must hunt down the season of Black Adder that he played in.
3. I only surround myself with people who are as nerdy or nerdier than myself. Otherwise reality hits and I realize I'm not as cool as I seem to think.
4. I'm a Huge fan of ZLAD. His music is “a melodic fusion combining hot disco rhythms with cold war rhetoric”.
5. I had a 30 minute conversation about what it would be like if you farted out your nose and sneezed out your butt with my husband. That's why I love him. He came up with some very good problems that may arise.
6. I consider myself a liberal conservative. I agree with many "liberal" views, but I LOVE guns, and say one bad word about a soldier and buddy we're throwin' down. I also see reason in many "conservative" views. I'm complex. Just support me as your leader. NOW!
7. I've made any number of boys cry, and I don't feel bad about it.
8. I would NEVER go to Tahoe with my family. Mainly because it would not be ok for them to come to Zephyr Cove with me and darn if I'm going there and not swimming nekkid.
9. I have done some REALLY embarrassing things to divert attention to my more sensitive friends. Mainly because I'm such a nerd I don't care about my image.
10. Sunday I spent the entire day in my P.J.'s and loved it!
11. I tease Leland about accident children. I just know some day God is going to smite me with one for it one day.
12. I have a decent food storage going. I'm not going to starve anytime soon.
13. I looked up Sarcoidosis, and it's not nearly as lame as Hillary and I suspected.
14. I listen to everything from classical to the occasional death metal. I get bored with only one genre of music.
15. I tryed gymnastics as a kid. I hated it because everyone was better than me and they teased me. Especially the boy. Man if I knew then what I do today I'd have just said shut up gay boy!
16. I wish I could plant puppy plants like watermelons. Then there'd be cute little puppies on the vine and I could pick them and play with them. It would be amazing!
17. I love oatmeal cookies, but hate raisins. So I only eat them if I bake them and that's not that often. It's a sad state of affairs.
18. I love Calamari, and Cockles. Those are my two favorite sides to get a the Market Street Grill with my Pops.
19. I am more important to Leland than his buddies. I proved it by telling him I really didn't fancy hanging with his buddies after V-Day dinner (which he had planned) and that I wanted to just spend time with him and myself. He was immediately ok with it. That made me happy and now I don't have to do the VFW on a day about ME. Oh yes and Leland. I love me...
20. I talk to my dogs a lot. They're my best friends next to Leland. Except when I go to let them out back, and then Gamine sees the mailman, and runs straight at him growling, and I have to do damage control, and thank the lucky stars that he's a decent guy and isn't going to complain because it was an accident, and all she did was sniff him and scare the crap out of him. Then Pinion randomly joins the action but immediately runs into the back yard when he sees the trouble gamine is in. At those times... They're just lucky I love them.
21. I have found the next MUST-HAVE game for my collection. It's called "The Family" and it's awesome. Sonia and I could unite against James and beat down his family. The only stipulation is I must always be the New York Italian Family. They've got Albert Anastasia "the Executioner" and he's got my back. *waving arms wildly* in Italian!
22. I have always had horrible nightmares and it continues into adulthood. It's why I enjoy horror movies. They're not half as bad as my dreams.
23. The devil is in me when I'm tired and hungry. I think it runs in the family to be possessed at those times.
24. I Love anime's. I have seen some really good ones, and some that are so odd they are awesome. Super awesome but sad Anime: Grave of Fireflies. I recommend it. It's really good.
25. I really enjoy Historical Fiction. You learn a bit about how to do things ancient style while getting a great story at the same time.

Cooking for 7?
So Last Saturday I had big exciting plans to make Sukiyaki for dinner with Ari and Lenny. Two very awesome people. Then the day before while shopping for supplies Leland finally pipes up "But I want gyoza..." and continued to act all pathetic until I agreed to do the freaking gyoza instead. Then we ended up inviting Laura and Dana too, so I was cooking for 6. Friday night Leland invites his boss for dinner as well. Well that was just great I had to make gyoza and clean house all in one day! Leland cleaned while I wrapped (I took the easy job, sorta) and everything was accomplished by dinner time. Hey with the constant threat of lay-offs it never hurts to ply the boss with tons of gyoza! Plus he's a decent guy, though not quite as silly as is my general preference for friends. Maybe he was holding back nerdiness to see exactly what type of crowd we were.
Little addition suggestions for gyoza:

The day has come..
That I must once again dust off my superfriend suit and use my powers for good. Yes My most awesome powers of friendship have once again been summoned. I have friends in need of an ear and a shoulder. I shall oblige of course. However, there is that small part of me that says I should use my powers for EVIL. Sonia, you in particular will understand this, as you are not just evil but we recently talked of this. I have freinds who need comfort. I will and can help them through the tough times. My only problem with this is that everytime my super friend powers are called upon I lose that friend not long after. Either because they walk away or I do. It saddens me to think of losing my two closest friends (after Leland of course) to this cycle. Maybe something will be different, but I really doubt it. Ah well.... I've already dusted of my friendwoman suit. We'll see how this one goes. I can only hope the best for them both. I want nothing less for them, even if I do lose the friendship.

My how fast things move sometimes..
I got a call today from Barnes and Noble they asked if I could come in for a 2nd interview tonite. I had about an hours notice so I rushed about to make it look like I wasn't spending most of my day with a massive headache and drove up. At the end of the interview it was seeming like I'd have to wait another two weeks to hear from them again but no, I start tomorrow. I guess now I'm no longer a certifiable bum.
CSI Hampton..
It was friday night after sundown. I had just brought the dogs inside and was still stranding outside talking to Leland. That's when it happened. I heard the crunch (no brakes just crunch), and turned to see a truck swreve away from my neighbors car continue to barrel down the street swerve one more time before pulling into their apartment at the other end of my street. At first Leland and I thought she may have run something over surely she'd have at least braked a bit after hitting something. He kept an eye on the truck and I went to check Chris' car. My suspicions were confirmed she had busted out a headlight and dented in the fender. Leland grabbed back-up (Dana) and went up to the truck, while I informed Chris what had happened to her car. After talking to her, I noticed Leland hadn't come back and I didn't know he had used the buddy system so I was worried and started walking up. I met him about half way. He had asked the broad if she had just hit a vehicle at the end of the street. She told him if she had hit something she would have stopped. (Well obviously not we watched you! It's not like a friendly conversation starter. Hi how are you, and by the way did you happen to hit any parked vehicles on the way home? later, before the cops came she did come out with someone, turn on a flood light and check her truck for damage. Jerk.) So we did what you do when hit and runs occur and in no time the suits were there to make a report. Two for down the street and one for us as were we considered friendly and safe. The officer was a nice man and in a good mood. He joked with us and the other two down the street over the radio. When describing the woman to them he added with a chuckle "Possibly food all over her." (According to Leland and Dana she was wearing a bunch of tacos on her shirt.) She didn't answer her door to the suits, not such a good idea. They have an unfair advantage in all things. The officer asked us what the address was on the house that happened to be my own I replied with the obvious number. He looked at me funny and said "are you sure?" I told him that had been the number for the four years I'd been there. He still didn't believe me "On that side of the street?". After a couple minutes of this I started doubting what my address was, until he realized I was right and said to me "whew I thought we were going to have to go to blows about it." I told him as long as he dropped the duty belt and didn't call for back up I'd give it a shot, and most likely still lose. He recieved a radio call at which point he told us that There was still no answer at the womans door so The truck was going to be towed. As he said "They tend to want to get in touch with us real fast when we have their vehicle." The crime scene unit came out and took pictures of both vehicles and then the truck was towed away. I haven't looked today, but it still wasn't back yesterday (sunday).
